If you haven’t heard, I self-published a picture story book with Kindle Direct Publishing last month. I wrote it after discovering that my son, Landry, loved hearing adventurous stories of my childhood and wanted to hear this particular camping story over and over. I also love any opportunity to instill a lasting love of reading in my children. This book is loosely based on the experience I had in my early teens at a week-long wilderness camp. Furthermore, my son loves to shine a light on the fact that I was not the kind character in the book.
